Plz tell me what media you use in your FX5

Plz let me know what media you use and how you have it placed in your FX5 canister.
Mine is as followed
Foam outer
Top to bottom:
Top(1st) carbon, Pot scrubbies
Middle(2nd) bio-max filled completely full
Bottom(3rd) bio-max filled completely full.

All trays filled with biomax and oem sponges. Also sometimes I use the fine filter pad placed in the top tray.

I do all three trays bio media (Eheaim substrat PRO or generic ceramic rings) and original sponges. A lot of members don't use the pads as they tend to clog quickly.

I use 2 blue filter pads on each level and I sandwich in a thick amount of Seachem matrix between them. Seems to work well for me. I use the FX 5's in addition to large wet dry filters in all of my ray tanks and they all sparkle.

When I had mine I used outer sponge, bottom and middle would be bio balls, and top would be blue fx5 filter pad. When I got my wet dry I did all 3 middle compartments on fx5 bio balls.

I personally use rings but I also fight with 100+ nitates even with doing 70% + wc/2x wk.

how many litres of eheim substrat pro does that take? i was planning on the same thing but was wondering how much to order. i was thinking 5-6 litres.
