whats the deal with saying this in threads!

i get the pm the moment its sent and it comes up on my screen automatically!

so why does anyone say it at all?

This is the exact thing that makes reading that little bit unenjoyable.

It annoys the absolute bajeebers about of me and there is NO reason why it should be posted. Just as bad as 'My new avatar' threads.

Not everyone has their computers set-up to allow pop-ups. The first time I got a PM, I didn't know because the notice was blocked.

I use it to keep track of my affairs.

It's so that when you send a pm if something happens with the system that the intended recipient doesn't receive that pm, you're notifying that you tried to reach the person. I've seen it work as good backup a couple of times.

It bugs me when people complain about reading "pm sent".. complaint threads make my reading unenjoyable.
