Poacher's Pocket Fishing Rod

This is a truly remarkable little gadget - a portable fishing rod that fits in a glovebox or even a coat pocket. It's not "full-size" and you couldn't use it for catching sharks, but at 4ft extended (approx 1.2m), it's definitely useable. The miniaturised reel is fully functional with a switchable ratchet (so you can use it right or left-handed) and line brake/clutch - something of an engineering masterpeice. The rod made from aluminium alloy, has seven fibreglass draws that retract inside the handle for stowage (the reel detaches). A pen-style lid fits on top, giving a total length of just 8". Comes supplied with 5-lb (2.5kg) breaking-strain line and a spinner hook. Now also available as a boxed set - same as above, but with a larger reel with freewheel casting function and more lures, all presented in a very smart gift box, measuring 12x9". REVIEWED IN PRACTICAL BOAT OWNER Magazine - In their 'New Gear' round-up - described as the 'current must-have boys' toy...the beautifully crafted pocket rod will appeal to all fishing enthusiasts.' ALSO AWARDED Angler's Mail 'GREAT GIZMO' award.
