Polishing a 500 gallon acrylic tank...

Hey all have a few questions to ask about polishing the acrylic tank I just got, before moving forward! I've seen some videos on youtube and whatnot so I have a good idea of what to do-but as far as polishing the inside (which these ppl were doing) of the tank-is this safe for the fish? What I'm trying to say is, can the polish be harmful/toxic to fish? I picked up McGuires PlastX-
Let me know your thoughts ...

Ive also been looking into this lately. It seems like the people with mcguires dont have many problems with their fish. Not sure if its a chance to take..but youre right. They are definitely doing it. I also have novus but i havent used it yet...are you using novus on the inside as well? I would imagine that there has to be a polish safe for use that professionals are using for restoration. I looked a little into it and ill let you know if i find anything...otherwise i will use one of the two mentioned.

Novus 1,2,3, inside and out no problems at all. Fish were in the tank a week after polishing. Used a 9" orbital buffer that I use on my vehicles with microfiber bonnets
