Polishing outside of tank with fish in it ??

I wanted to know what your guy's thoughts are on polishing outside of the acrylic tank with fish in it .. tank got some minor scratches during the move on outside got fish coming very soon nowhere else to put them just wondering is this ok to do ??

yeah they might get spooked a bit but shouldn't be worse than your normal tank cleaning stress. an orbital buffer should not vibrate the tank too too much.

I'd be concerned about getting buffing compound in the tank. My experience with it (not tank related) is the dust goes everywhere if you use power tools.
Depending on the fish, it may or may not be OK stress-wise. I certainly wouldn't try it with iridescent sharks.
