My twin bulkheads sit 5 feet above the ground...The tank is 180...I already purchasd the PVC, but now I see how easy FLEX tubing can be used, especially for the return....Please give me a picture of where everyone stands on this subject by voting...BTW I spent about 30 minutes at Home Depot last night, configuring different sizes/shapes of PVC, I had fun....

flex, you can see whats going on.

Cool....I spent the whole day cutting PVC in the garage and cutting holes in the tank.....Today was pretty fun....I saw those pix Midnight, that's why I made this thread...Your tubing set up is pretty clean and straightforward...

I prefer flex, because you can see when its all crappy inside, and 2 its easy to take down and clean, and it is fairly cheap. Oh, and no need for glue, just a couple barb fittings, and a couple hose clamps.

WyldFya, I did'nt think about all the crud accumilating and not being able to see it, duh, thanks...Instead of just throwing flex on with a simple clamp, I wanted to build something nice, so I went with pvc....Flex is definatley going on the outake....

The "t" took too much swim space, so I took it out...

I'll split the outake with "T" and run flex tubing to the corners...My pump's actual diamter is 3/4", I bought some half inch piping mistakeningly last night:shakehead...Flex tubing sounds really good right now....The filter is coming in tomorrow ....

Looks good. I personally like SCH80 PVC because it is gray and blends much better over the SCH40 pvc.

Thanks Wyld...I plan on massive driftwood exposure for this tank....Covering up the piping will not be a problem....

BTW....I also have two 3/4 inch holes available....Ideas are welcomed....More circulation???Another wet/dry???
