I use to breed them with very good success. I do take the eggs out every time. After they are finished laying for a couple hours, you can take the eggs out. At that time I had a heated room. I would put the eggs in a glass 1 gallon jar with slow air bubbles. The main trick is to be able to keep the new born fries alive by separating the viable eggs from the fungus eggs. If you don't do that, the bad eggs will fungus up and make the water go bad. That will kill off everything. So when the you shake the egg mass on the second day in the jar, the good eggs will fall down and the bad eggs will stay with the original mass. The key is to remove the bad eggs before they decompose and foul the water. On the second day, the eggs will start to lose the adhesion to the egg mass which allow you to shake the good ones off. You will have to take out the bad eggs which is stuck to the original mass. The babies can be raised just like any other cichlid babies. Good Luck.
