My polleni just seemed to have lost interest in eating. It seems fine otherwise. The tank only gets pellets so I wouldn't think a parasite. I do notice it nibbling on algae. It goes toward the pellets but won't eat anymore. I don't know what to do

Adult Paratilapia are known to stop feeding ocassionally without ill effects, apparently this behavior puzzles scientists and hobbists as well. Paratilapia are predatory fish and as such they don't eat constantly. If all life support systems are ok in your tank, your fish will resume eating in 2-3 days.

My bleekeri is quite young, ~ 4.5" or so. I noticed he does eat all the time either. He eats when he feels like it. He's super healthy too.

Like ciclasoman says, it should be fine.

Try feeding your polleni in the evening . They are more active in the evening and can be night hunters. I have noticed with my paratilapia that they sometimes will not have any interest in food during daylight hours . But at night they will feast . Give it a try !

Definitely agree with the folks above. My paratilapia is such a picky eater. Her favorite times are dusk/dawn. She never eats during the day.
