I am getting paratilapia polleni in my 90 gallon tank ihave in it geos and some catfish . Do you thinck this would work and do you guys have any other suggestion for tank mates

From what I've seen they do well with new worlds. I've never seen them with Africans. Mine is aggressive, but has never killed anything. Right now he's in a 55 with a small Mayan and Firemouth that are both growing out. No tank divider but plenty of hiding space. On occassion he chases them, but never catches them. On other occassions he lets them swim in the open without paying them much attention.

I keep mine with new world cichlids mostly, but have seen them in tanks with various haps like Dimidochromis and seem to do well.

Hi, I have Polleni in several tanks. The "small spot" seems to be more aggressive than the "Large spot" variety but they are in with: 60 african mbuna in a 150; 9 frontosa, 30 other africans in a 220, 3 pollenis in with 8 buttekofferis, pink fenestratums and (very fast) madagascar rainbows in a 90 extra tall. They seem to be roughest on each other, and are good citizens in "bad neighborhoods" like cichlid tanks.

I have been thinking about trying one in my 240 thats an all male hap/peacock tank...think that will work?

Sounds good to me, never seen any serious issues keeping them with haps
