Polleni with SA/CA community?

I have already searched this and only found one thread on it that gave me decent answers but not 100%

But my question is, how would a polleni get along with this mix.

in theory, yes, but for example, mine has gotten very aggressive with age and is now on the short side of the divider

Right now i have 1xkelberi, 1x orino, 1xconvict, 1xfront, 6xcory's, 20xrosies, and 1xpolleni in a grow out 55gal. All is good.

I have kept my 6" polleni with a buttikoferi, jack dempsey, and two green terrors. Polleni's are pretty sturdy fish and can hang with the toughfest of them.

My Polleni actually grew faster than my CAs/SAs and became too aggressive for them to handle. Now he's in a 55 with a small Festae that's growing out. He doesn't go after the Festae that much and can't catch it. In short, he's a pretty mean fish.

that is essentially what happened with my polleni as well...the only tankmate that was larger was a Crenicichla sp. Venezuela (which injured 4 other cichlids past the point of recovery over the course of a weekend I was out of town), and once
it was gone, the polleni was much larger than the remaining fish, and it killed off a Dimidochromis kiwinge that was pretty large. Now it is separated from the others as it is very aggressive, and the next largest cichlid in the tank is smaller and much less bulky.

same thing with my polleni. he was quite aggressive and controlled 2/3 of the tank. I had to sell him off. Great personality though besides being mean. They would be great for a solo 55.

I agree, a 55 gallon solo tank does look nice as long as the polleni has the outgoing 'glassbanger' personality. Mine doesn't bother bottom fish though, just other cichlids
