I have been wanting a polleni for quite some time now and since I've recently upgraded my tank I was hoping I can finally pick one up but I'm having a hard time figuring out where they fall in terms of aggression. The tank is a 72"*30"*25" 225 wide with some plants and a piece of drift wood, I can pick up some rocks and make a cave if it will help my chances. Stock is 3 sd, common pleco, paraneetroplus melanurus, green sev, rotkeil, bellycrawler and 4 acarychthis heckelli. Sounds like a lot of people feel they're all bark and no bite but they have been keeping them in 4' tanks so I'm not sure if they are going to be a tad too fiesty or not.

I find Paratilapia fairly easy going as long as their tank is at least the length of yours.
And your stock seems reasonable, I would just not put Paratilapia with some of the more aggressive Herichthys like the carpintus complex, those are too aggressive for Paratilapines to handle.
I had my quartet of P small spot with Acarichthys and Guianacara for a while without incident, they more or less ignored each other

I've read about them not caring about small fish that don't pose a threat and they sound pretty evenly matched for my melanurus and sevs so I think I'm going to give it a shot, worst case is I'll have to rehome it it shouldn't be hard and it doesn't seem to be a fish that snaps and cleans house in a day.
