come on guys and girls surely all you polleni keepers must have some clue. where are the replies??????????

Get ready. I've been keeping and breeding the large and small spots for about ten years now, and let me tell you..... I keep alot of huge, mean fish but none compare to the behavior of an adult Polleni. I just finished a new tank for some of them. Check it out. This one is my Patternless Polleni "Perra". I can't find another one like her any where.

A pic of my very first pair, "Polly and Ole' One Eye". I worked with them for two years and finally got one baby. I named her "Soldier", cause she lived undetected in with her parents for almost six months. She is now almost seven and lives with the others. This pic is the daY i found her in the tank. The last one is her and the others in the new tank.

Here is my oldest Polleni "Polly". He's right at ten or just under but he is a beast. The picture of the pair in my last post was from almost eight plus years ago. Here he is now.

That would be my guess, but the females usually don't get over 5 or 6 inches and rarely do they develope a hump. Either way you have a beautiful animal there. Keep in mind, that this is no dime store cichlid. These guys are pretty endangered in the wild so take good care of her. Best of luck. If you have any problems I'm more than willing to try to help.
