Someone knows what is the average quantity of pollution released per fish (counting the pollution resulting of not eaten food or plant decomposition...) depending upon the size of the fish ? In my tanks (30 gallons/120 L), the nitrates level rise is 10 mg/L per week and they each contains 12 small fishes (Puntius tetrazona and Melanotaenia praecox). From this, my deduction is that those fish are releasing in average a little less than 1200 mg of waste in a week. Am I right ?
