Poly Air Breathing's Issue, Seriously, Please Advice !!

Hi Guys, I'm new to Poly! Advice needed!

Bought this baby month ago, and i noticed....it ''breath air'' form the top of water maybe per time every 5-10 minutes, does this fish breath with lungs? (something like Arapaima, Gar Fish, Snakehead, etc...).

Or, does my aquarium lacks of oxygen that cause him/her to do that?

I'm very new to Poly, Advice awaits and appreciated.

Yep, they've got lungs.

That's one of my favorite things about bichirs!

pretty sure if they DON'T do that then its a problem lol
they can take oxygen from the atmosphere, and do so regularly

Thanks Dude. Bydaway, they (endi) got lungs, do they breath like Arapaima, Gar Fish, Snakehead, etc.. ? to grab oxygen from the top?
