I love these fish and I want them to be a part of my tank.

I have an 85G that has Silver Dollars in it. It will also have 3 Kissing Gourami's in it to one day.

What type of poly can I have in their that wont eat my other fish?

I have kept Senegal before, that wasnt to hard. But I want one that has a little more pattern/colour to it.

Thanks

ornates are little more colerful.

I'd keep a delhezi in a 85. They have nice stripes, but ornates are a lot more colorful. You can also try palmas palmas. They probably have the nicest coloration.

aww man, you beat me to it.

palmas (3 varieties) are all more colorful and patterned, yet will stay relatively small and will be fine with silver dollars and kissing gouramis. Delhzis are another fine choice.

I will probably order 2 Delhezi for my tank.

I just sent an email to my LFS asking him to sent me all the prices of the bichirs he can get in. Can I "mix'n'match" bichirs? How many can I put in my tank? More then 2? Maybe 3?

Also, I don't know where you think a 2 foot fish(ornate) can live in a 18" wide tank?

Mixing the polys might be okay, as long as you stick with the upper jaw species. (palmas, senegal, delhezi). 3 would be okay.

depending on filtration.
i'd get maybe 5 polys.
albino sens, delhezis, the 3 palmas all have nice color.
yes.
an ornate will get to 2 feet and is not suitable for the tank.
