'This fish was discovered near the shores of Shuswap Lake in the community of Canoe Feb. 23, 2016. Initially mistaken for a Snakehead, the fish was later identified as a Bichir.'

They do look prehistoric though.

Dumb ass people that thinking releasing into a local habitat is humane. Sell it or give it away. Don't release fish into local habitat.
