Bout a year ago I was looking realy hard into getting a couple of bichirs and the air freight was what stopped me. Then my basement flooded and all that wen out the window.

I vaguely remember one of the big importers a lot of people here used was located in northern ohio but I cannot remember which it was . Or maybe im just nuts If I am not tho a link to thier site would be great.

I don't recall any big importers in Ohio. The only ones I can really recall are Rehoboth and to a degree Amazing Fish. Totally possible though. Wouldn't mind being wrong if it means another way to get some Polys

Yeah, sometimes freight cost can get too steep. Recently I boght two fairly good sized bichirs (13.5") from Toyin at Rehoboth Aquatics and shipping for one was going to be $75 but to add another fish was only an additional $25... So better for me to take the plunge now and save money in the long run.

Are there others in your area who share your interest? Maybe do a group buy and split the freight cost. Ive done that with some of my cichlids and have then been able to afford fish from vendors I normally could not buy from for just fish I wanted.

I beleive it was toyin at rehoboth I was thinking about will look them up again in a few weeks. Been cranking overtime at work and If i can drive there and pick them up and not pay $100 + in shipping would be great. I could maybe get the del or palmas I have been wanting forever.

Only place in columbus to get either is aquarium adventure. WHile the product is High quality the mark up will kill ya as much as air freight.
