in the Living Water
:confused:Please kindly educate me how you guys usually measure your living fossils,

Length - Up to it's tail or it's body's measurement only?

Thickness - what would be the ideal thickness for bichirs? (you could put several species according to the idea, but please go for senegal/delhezi/ornates first pls:naughty:)

BTW, I got 3 longfinned senegals, 1 delhezi, 2 albino sen (1 will be disposed [means to be returned at LFS, had to or it will be a snack for others, a supper short body variant more likely it would only go for 5-6inches only]...) and young 2 ornates.

When I used to measure i would get them as straight as possible and would do it form head to tail, but as they got bigger it was harder tog et an exact measurement form an 8-9" fish. without causing too much stress now i just eyeball them. Theres really no set thickness IMO as long as my polys are eating they are good. Obviously the bigger eaters will have bigger bellies.

Thanks for the info... Usually I measure mine with a measuring tape beneath the tank so they won't notice me hiding. xD
For the thickness part, is that so... Thanks a lot! =)
Pretty much for me they're pretty comfy when I'm around even when near the tank, but they would go nuts when I have my siphon tools...
