i am getting maybe a couple of of indo or north thai dats and a 2-3inch ablino poly (those common kinds)
can i put them together ? the dat should be 1inches or smaller
and how fast is their growth rate, would they outgrow my dats?

ok after reading deblondie's thread i think i should be getting the american dat(silver dat)and a indo dat maybe with a common pleco but i still need more infos from you guys here
i should be getting the albino senegalus

pleco will suck slime coat of bichir so pleco no as for dats albino get 12 inches but i havent seen to many over 8 or 9" i think a full grow date would eat him but it would work for a while if sizes match

Dats growth rates are much slower than the senegal. But eventually ur dat will outgrow ur poly. What i did was wait till my bichirs are at least abt 6" before i intro 7"dats.

i would say go for it and move the fish accordingly as they grow, when the sizes begin to drift apart too far and you have concern for one or the other just move them. and for the pleco thing, i hear it all the time but ive never had problems and i know other people who never had that problem either

the shopkeeper at the farm gave it to me im afraid that the tsn will eat up the dat so i moved it to a temp. tank i think i would be moving the tsn to the other tank ive just got it cleaned and filled with water and leftover black gravel
