poly senegal for help cycling?

I got a 15 gall with my 5" bichir and a raphael cat. I moved 3 giant danio's over to my new 55 gallon to help cycle it. Should I move the bichir over ?I heard they can tolerate absurd water andI know he would enjoy having extra room. Anyone cycled with a bichir ?

why would you cycle with any fish you like?! do a fishless cycle so you aren't running the risk of killing them. then you can move them.

If you already have the 15g cycled you could use some filter media from it to seed your 55 gal and then your cycle would be less damaging to fish. You could also move some of the substrate over with it.

filters moved and one of those big orange lava rocks?? You knowthe porous one's . Will that help ??

LOL everyone keeps thinkin im a newb fishkeeper. No the tank also has an ac110 (running simultaneously with the crappy aquatech 5/15)and a fluval 304 if I need it.Im not sure how the beneficial bacteria from the aquatech is going to spread among the tank though any ideas ? also will the volcano porous rock from the cycled tank help
