I have a 25 gallon tank, with 3 platys a pleco and a new poly senegalus. I do not really know much about these fish. The store that I had purchased him from said that he would be fine with the platys because he was in a tank with a large molly. The more information I obtain about my poly senegalus the more I worry for the platys. Will the poly senegalus eat/attack the platys? Are the poly senegalus dangerous? Do they sting/ are they poisonous? There isn't much information online about this fish. Please share your knowledge.
Thank you.

Google senegal bichir. I did it for you, just click the link. There is a ton of easy to access info out there, you just weren't searching for the right thing. :) Good luck with your search! Once you've read through some of the top hits in that search, please feel free to come back and ask some more pointed questions. As for the mollies, I figure they'll make fine feeder fish.

Moved to Polypterus.

No polypterus aren't poisonous, and they don't sting. Yes the polypterus will eventually try and eat the platys when he gets larger. Also you can't have the pleco with the poly, because the pleco with try and suck the slime coat off of the polypterus, and that will make him more susceptible to diseases. The tank you have him in now will be a nice grow out tank, but when he gets larger he will need at least a 40B or 55g. So you will need to upgrade at some point. Welcome to MFK :)
