looks like an ornate
 
it's a palmas subspecies for sure. i'm gonna say palmas palmas (they have quite intricate patterns on the head if you look up close. Even so, that one is still exceptionally nice!). are there more pics of the fish? if so, we can tell for sure which subspecies.
 
looks like a Polypterus teugelsi or even Polypterus palmas polli

Took that pic from a japanese video (polypterus breeding), actually took a picture of the TV itself, if you could tell? Lol! (Ghetto, i know!) :D That's why there's japanese writing on the bottom of the pic.

Anyways, there's a section at the end of the vid that shows different poly species, and that one was one I never knew which species it was. I'll see if i can get better pics of that poly in that segment of the vid... I'm thinking P. palmas palmas, tho??
