Poly tank update

Been about 2 months since the 120g poly tank has been up and running now so figured I'd do a quick update on it. Could not be happier with it, things are going great. Polys are all growing very well and getting really thick. Datnoid hides a lot but has been coming out more lately now finally. Live plants are doing very well. I've had a plant or two in other tanks before but this is the first time having this many plants in one tank and I'm very pleased with the growth of them and the new plants that are shooting off the java as well as how the moss is growing now.

Still have to get the other 120g tank next to it done when I get time to do the 3d background for that one but I've just been so busy lately I have not had a chance to get around to it. Hopefully will later this spring.

That's a very beautiful tank! And your fish are too.
I notice you have your plants in pots. Is that to prevent the bichirs from rooting them out of the substrate?

Thanks. None of the plants are in any pots, they are all attached directly to the wood.

what is it with datnoids and hiding S Steve_C ? My dat is a prolific hider too

I've heard they are that way, especially if they aren't in a big group. Once he gets bigger he won't be able to tuck into the places he hides right now, but with as slow grower as they are that may take a few more years. He's coming out a bit more lately though thankfully. The first month he was only coming out at night, but now I'd say he's out maybe 15-20% of the time even with the lights on, so he's coming around a bit now.
