poly tankmates for african arowana and spotted gar

would some polypterus work as good tankmates for an african arowana and some spotted gar? other tank mates may include the clown knifefish and a tigrinus catfish, but they dont have to. tank will be 360 gallons 8x3x2ft.

i would say that it would work. bichirs and gars are in my opinion the best tankmates for eachother. i have seen all three species housed at once. (gar, bichir, and african aro). the clown knife might be alittle aggressive but it might work. and not sure about the tig. i am quite sure others will have better input but this is my opinion.

They should be fine, i have 1 African Aro with 3 Bichirs right now and haven't had any problems at all.. I don't have any gars right now though, but have in the past and had no probs with them either..

Not sure about the Knife, but i have 3 different species of poly's with mine, and looking for more..

Should work, go with larger species like ornate, endli, congicus etc.

try to get them in identical-or as close to identical-sizes.you could also throw an oscar or 2 in there with them and theyd be fine as well.
