Hello guys, I just got into polys and bought a teugelsi with 10cm.
Do you think my setup is fine for now?
And I have a doubt about filtration, does he need a super crucial good filtration like discus do?

It’s a fair tank size for teugelsi. Esp captive bred. The tetras may start disappearing once the poly gets bigger. Filtration is fair. Although I half the rating for most canisters in half from what’s advertised.

I tought so, but i'm hoping to get another one. What do you mean? I think mine is a wild teugelsi, can I breed them if I get a pair or is it difficult?
That is why I questioned if the filtration needs to be improved, I will probably go for a large sump and create a refugee to the tetras.

Just saying smaller teugelsi’s are usually cb and inexpensive compared to their wild counterparts. Cb will stay toward the 19in mark. Can’t tell in the photo. But if it’s is wc then no prob. Will get 24in then.

Can definitely try to breed if able.

Oh ok I understood,I asked my supplier if he had any idea if it was cb or wd but he doesnt know,he received a wrong order and they came in it so he doesnt really know. But it came from germany and they were 12 it the same size so probably cb.

yeah usually if they are wild caught they will know because most wild caught bichirs have go for a premium. But with Teug the cb ones are still very nice I know I love mine
