Polycentrus schomburgki

does anyone keep this fish? I am thinking about getting one for a planted 29, but info on the web is scarce.

I have one, hes a pretty simple fish. Not too aggressive towards other fish at all but a good eater. Mine eats a mixture of live, pollock, flakes and pellets, he loves em all. I was told to have a lot of plants and such becuase they like to hide but mine really doesn't, he shills about mid-level in the tank.

I have posted some time ago about my Polycentrus. Theu are great fish, but mine eats preferable live food. They do get some bits and flakes, but its not enough to make them grow!
But they are fantastic!

^ Mine used to prefer to take live but he seems to have gotten lazy. He's been full grown foer a while now, his favorite is actually a Bota Vita sinking pellet.

Are they aggressive feeders? I'm going to get a dwarf pike for the tank, and I don't want the leaf fish to get out competed.

I caught them and imported them back from Guyana at the size of a dime. They're great except they eat anything the can fit in their mouths, including a rather expensive little group of apistogramma rupununi that came with them -_____-

expensive taste. I got them thinking they maybe Asian Perch as they are similar at a young age

Yeah tell me about it. They went through an entire group of Poeciliocharax weitzmani too before I got them out lol.
