polyester topcoat over silicone?

hi,
i test filled my 210 gallon plywood last night and got a few drips from the viewing window,
when i stripped the silicone it was still wet,
after a week curing it seems i applied far to thick a bead and never pushed it into the corners to seal it properly.
im about to add a fresh bead of thin silicone and was wondering if i can apply some topcoat over the silicone up to the glass.

really want to make sure this time

I would do a reseal.

i;ve done a reseal, i just want the extra insurance of the poly top coat,
has anyone done this?
does polyester topcoat adhere to glass?

I think it would adhere to glass but not the silicone

it took me hours getting the one line of silicone of the top coat so i reckon ill be alright,
