Polymer Clay?

Hi all, my cousin is makes little fairy houses and stuff out of polymer clay.

I was complaining about none of the pre made caves at the store being big enough and she offered to make a custom cave for River (my GT) but I'm not sure its safe for the tank, would she have to coat it in epoxy first?

I don't want to poison my fish but it would be awesome if River had a cave of her own to claim. All help is appreciated, thanks.

It's not and don't rely on coatings to make an item safe.

Unfortunately I don't have access to a 3D printer. But its all good, I'll keep checking the stores and hope something sizable comes in. Thank you.
