So one day i was in a big als in Mississauga and my girlfriend saw a fish she wanted to show me. She said it was kinda an eel or something. When she showed me it was a polypterus delhezi. I fell in love with it. Dont know why? Not too active or striking in any way but it just looked so bad ass! I had to buy it. Then I saw a baby senegal at another big als and i was thinking my delhezi needed a tankmate. Today I bought an ornate cause he also looked bad ass. Just a question...um when does this addiction stop? Also if anyone is in the kw area of ontario and you have a 150 gallon+ tank their are selling please lmk. I'm looking for one for my addiction. Polys are amazing! Everyone should have one.

For me the addiction ends when you have collected the complete species list along with variants.
I did it and while I could go on to collect all the Platinums too, I am soon to be a daddy for a 3rd time so am soon to get out of the hobby.
It is worth doing. It was easier for me being in Japan, but it still cost me much money!

Just like what tokyogasmask said "ends when you have collected the complete species". When you become a bichir fanatic I believe this saying is true.

Most are being sold back to Big-in.jp, but there are others for sale privately, but getting them out of Japan may cause headaches!
