I have some emergent situations with my tank come up and I need to try to combine some of my tanks. I have a 125 with a 8 inch del, 15 inch ornate, 13 inch endi, and 8 inch palmas. I need to move my 15 inch plus ropefish out of his tank. Would this be a dangerous move to put him in with my polypterus?

think over estimated the size of the rope probably about 12 inches. my biggest worry is since he is some much thinner then the polypterus

polypterus in my experience are pretty passive with my tanks mates even with smaller fish. What are the estimated girth of ur ornate and endi vs ropefish?

Either the ornate or endi will eat it sooner or later.
+1 They can get kinda aggressive when their big and will go after other fish No matter how big...

thats what i figured. so now i need to decide to either sell my ruby red spilo piranha or find a home for my rope with someone that has a community of them. Tough decisions I do have a third option but probably way too risky - my 90g planted community tank.

put the rope fish in the 90 gallon community.the polys will eat him eventually.
