I went into my LFS last weekend and the owner tells me they just sold some really nice ansorgii they got in, but he was going to order more if they were still on the list. If he did end up getting them, they should be in tomorrow.

I've been trying to do my own research on them in regards to it being a true ansorgii or a hybrid but I don't really trust most online sources. I know they're are some really knowledgeable people on these guys *cough*Tokyogasmask*cough* so tell me some differentiating factors between them.

If I remember correctly, they were 5-6" and $65.

go to predatory fishkeepers.com they are experts. hit up julian he just got an ansorgiii. sometimes it hard to tell....but if its true the price i think would be higher just my thoughts....

Hi.
If the Ansorgii is small it will be a CB.
If it has a Kamihata cert, it is 100% F1 Ansorgii.

If not there is a good chance it is a Ansorgii x Endlicheri hybrid.

The easiest way to tell is the head shape.
Also the End x Ans have very messy body markings.

5-6" at $65 will most likely be a hybrid.

And @Dioks, best not to tell people to go to a rival forum for the "Experts".
There are just as many if not more "Experts" right here at MFK!

whats the difference between a endli x asg's head shape to a Asg's head shape?

Here are a few pics of the Ansorgii at my LFS in Rockford, IL. They came from Apet Inc (wholesaler in the Chicago suburbs). They also sell to a lot of stores in Michigan. These are also around 5"ish and just might be from the same group-in case your LFS never got more in or you never had a chance to see them.

i just went to a friend's house and saw his WC ansorgi, i cant tell the difference except that its more brownish and more faded in its banding.
