Polypterus are messy!

So I've been feeding my Senegal Bichirs on Hikari Carnivore, they seem to gorge themselves on the stuff but alot of it gets passed through their gills. Since plecos aren't recommended as tank mates due to their habits of sucking on bichirs, what other clean up fish can I keep?

Earth eaters, clown loaches large enough no not get eaten, or just good old excellent filtration and water circulation.

Other catfish like medium sized synodontis cats get along great. If you have a bunch left over you are probably over feeding though.

Of the bicher I own the Senegal's are the greediest . When fully grown I feed my bicher every other day,and they have a varied diet Tilapia, massivore pellets, algae wafers they take from the SD's lol.

You could be not over feeding if the polys mouths are too small for the pellet, try breaking them in half before my 4 inch albino sen sucks those down w/o any gill mess
