hi, i am considering to buy a 10 inch PBB and i'm wondering whats the captive size for this monsters. I know they are monsters in the wild and can grow to 3 feet but how about in a aquarium?? I might get a 10 incher from toyin but i don't know the max captive size. how long does it take them to achieve full size?? i've heard that PBB only grow to 20 inches to 2 feet in an aquarium is that true??

Tank size of cause the bigger the better, but i reckon at least a 5ft length and 2.5ft width tank for it to grow.

Size wise think 2ft will be max, any longer is gona take a long long time

My biggest Chad PBB grew to 68cm in a 300 Gallon tank.
You will be lucky to reach this, even more lucky to exceed this in anything other than a pond.

holy!! how long will it take for a 10 incher to grow into a 2 footer and up??

With a large enough tank, your 10" pbb should reach adult size. Inviduals vary though on maximum size.
