i have 2 p.senegalus in the same tank and i have noticed both of them have bad damage to their front fins they move to swim(im not sure what theyre called) theres alot gone theres small pieces left they seem to be getting around fine. im not sure what caused this damage theyre in the tank with 4 african cichlids but i believe both of the bichirs have been attacking each other. will these fins heal completely? and what can i do to stop them from attacking each other?

Yes they should heal back properly although sometimes the fins rays may bend out of shape. When this happens you need to do an operation on the fish or if you dont mind the way it looks, just leave it alone. For your case add a general anti bacteria medicine so prevent any infections and keep the water very clean for the next few weeks. Add in more decorations like drift wood and shift the existing ones around so that they have more hiding space.

on some parts the fin is gone to the end i dont know how to explain it but the fin is gone almost to the body of the fish. the bigger dosent have that much damage but the smaller ones fins are pretty bad. what medication do u recomend and should i add some salt?

also would changing where i normally put decorations help the situation?

Dont worry they should heal back in time... if you dont have any medicine its fine as well just keep the water clean and add some salt. Move the decorations so that you give them more hiding space.
