Saw one at my lfs for $99, looks to be 15-16" What do you think? I want it, but space may be an issue.

They don't normally get sold at that size in my area so I'm not sure if it is a good price or not. I don't think $99 is unreasonable for a healthy bichir that size but you can probably talk them down a bit. To give you an idea I paid $80 for a 12" lapradei. If space is an issue I probably won't get it as someone noted that they can still grow a few more inches. You might want to look at juvie ornates and grow them out yourself.

id say 70 is alot more reasonable, but hey, if it really tickles your pickle go for it. ornates are awesome.

That would be cool. The expensive lfs here sells their small ones (5") for about $60. But, I would still try and talk them down.
