Polypterus Palmas

I adopted a 12" 8 year old palmas bichir a few days ago. She is extremly docile and was housed with little corydoras her whole life. Anyway, will she get much larger or is this the max. size for these creatures?

She is at her max size, not the max for the species. At 8 years old a palmas is done growing anything but wider, kinda like me.
