Polypterus Pricing ?

The LFS where I work was given a 10-12in polypterus. This isn't something that we usually carry, so I'm not familiar with pricing on these guys.

What are the usual prices for these?

I didn't see any distinctive markings on the fellow, my guess would be Polypterus senegalus senegalus. Is that a more common specie?

Most common. Im not sure but maybe 50-60 bucks?

either senegal or lap. i'd say around $40

if it looks like the pic its a P.senegalus senegalus $20-40 dollars max its the most commonly available of the polypterids-Anne
