Okay I need some help on how I should introduce one into my tank. I want to eventually put it in my 150g with my oscar, but my oscar is to big right now and will eat him. So i plan on putting him in my 55g, should I put him in first and allow him to acclimate and find spots to hide before I put the rest of my fish in which I currently have in a tub because I had to reseal my tank.

Or should I just put them all in together and hope all goes well? Also what do you recommend using for a cave? I bought a very big piece of driftwood that Im going to put in there, do you think that will be fine for him?

What else is going to be put in the tank?

- As far as the scpaing for hiding spots, its always best to make something natural with driftwood and rocks with plants, etc.

I have 3 tiger barbs, 2 convicts, 2 jack dempseys, a bgk, a peacock eel, and a common pleco.

Avoid the common pleco

I already have these fish... except the bichir.. I guess ill flush the pleco... unless petsupplies will take it.

Dont flush your pleco...

- I honestly don't see a problem with the pleco and bichir being together since its in a large tank and they are the only bottom dwellers in the tank. If there is problems then make sure the pleco has another tank for him.

you mean like flush it down the poop box?

yah but i was just messing around i wouldnt do that, i dont kill anything lol, not even spiders.. When I was at petsmart getting the bichir i asked the lady there about trying to find a place that would take the pleco and she told me about this place called deals pets, so I called and Im going to take it tomorrow. once my tank gets a little clearer ill post some pics of him, and the tank so you can let me no if itll be good for him.
