Polypterus Senegalus Growth Thread?

Does anyone know of a senegalus growth thread here on MFK with pics and updates...just wondering how fast these things can actually grow!!

don't know of a thread, but it depends on what and how much you feed them. My ornate grew so fast it was absurd, but I was feeding him Massivore pellets, cocktail shrimp, blood worms, and other frozen foods.

yea i got mine on carnivore sinking pellets/frozen bloodworms/frozen brineshrimp

dont have pics ATM but mine have gone from about 1.5" in mid october to 6-6.5" now, so about an inch a month is a good rate

hard to tell how fast they can grow, since most bichirs sold in the lfs are CBs, many have different gen which affects their growth. Best thing to do is to keep them well fed at all time

The senegal that I have ive had for bout 5 weeks and has grown from 3" to 5" on sinking carnivore pellets. They grow pretty fast but this is my first time with bichirs so dont take my word to heart.

Never did one, but their growth rate are very slow
