hi , my polypterus recently died from some unknown reason, before dying it behave strangely that is turning around itself and swimming upside down it was actin crazy as if it doesnt knoe how to swim

can someone help me plz ?

Sounds like it went into some sort of shock. Might of been a sudden pH swing.

how long was it like that?

kinda hard to tell what the cause is to be honest. i had several albino senegals that did something similar before they died. couldn't stay upright, struggled to swim etc. symptoms started suddenly and lasted a week to a few weeks before they died. This didn't happen to all the senegals at the same time of course. It's just a mystery that this happened to be how all of them died. it couldn't be something in the water either because i have other bichirs in the tank. Anyway not saying that's the same thing as yours, just saying mystery death happens, sometimes more than once

dats really sad ... u know i had 2 of them 1 was albinos it died 1 month b4 the non albino 1 but i have noticed like fin rust on the albino 1 but not on the other however both of them died with the same crazy acting syntom :S
