i got my first 240 gallon fish tank, i have 5 inch silver aro, 3-4 inch lapradei, 2-3 inch senegal, and 6-7 inch retro. i plan on getting a fire eel later on and maybe a gar. my 240 gallon will still be pretty empty so i wanna get some more fish. what kind of fish could i get that wont eat my bichirs? how about raphael catfish?
any schools of fish that i could get?

raphael cats in a 240g? bad idea....the moment you put it in the tank will be the last time you'll see it. add more bichirs, clown loaches and datnoids.

why is that? will the raphael get eating or what?

no, they hide all their lives unless you have a bare bottom tank without any decors which would also make the rapahael skittish.

Yeah I have only had one that started coming out and showing itself after a time. Though they say if you have several at once they get braver...

never knew that, maybe worth a try as they are fairly cheap.

I have pictus cats, red tail shark, one oscar and a raphael with mine. But the oscar does try to nibble on all of them. Hopeful when the del gets bigger, the nibbling will stop.
