I just found some old photos of my bichir collection from 2009. I started keeping bichirs in 2008. My first was an Ornate(too bad didn't document it's earlier growth).
Toward the end of 2008, I upgraded from 20g to 100g. I also happened to join MFK around that time. That's when I learned a lot more about other bichir species and such.
When 2009 came, I decided to collect upper jaw bichirs and add some black sand to enhance their colors. I pretty much started with 1 bichir for months. and then within a few months later, I had 14-16 bichirs.
It's pretty neat to look back and see how much I have learned since then. You can also see how much my photography skills have improved hahaha.
Share your throwback too!
My stocklist during mid-2009:
x1 Ornate (same ornate that stayed til 2012).
x2 Delhezi
x2 Endli
x1 Palmas Polli
x1 Palmas Palmas
x1 Retropinnis
x1 Weeksii
x2 Captive Bred Senegal
x1 Wild Caught Senegal
x2 Longfin Senegal
x1 Platinum Senegal
x1 RopeFish
x1 Albino Senegal
Earliest photo of my collection was in 2009.
