i was at one of the lfs the other day and say some senegalus so i got home and started researching and what would be some good Polypterus for my tank. i was thinkin an albino senegalus and mabye a ornatipinnis i dont want any that get huge but ornates just have such kool colors. let me know if this would work out or if you have any different recommendations for me. btw my tanks is a 5*3*25" 235gl
thanks in advance

you could get any one you want, you have more than enough tank space. delhezis are awesome. ornates, laps, endlis, palamas b., palamas p., bichir, bichir. most of the lower jaw polys get bigger than the upper jaw. so if you want smaller polys go with the upper jaw.

I think al upper jaw polypterus species whould be very nice in your set-up. The Betta will get eaten in time and the alge eaters will have to be watched closely to prevent them sucking the slime coat of the bichir.

Very nice size tank btw, do you have a full tank shot to share?

you know i need to take a full tank shot ill do that later today so it will be in this forum eathier tonight or tomorrow sometime(prob today) yea my betta is gonna get eaten eventually i know that i cant belive hes still alive now.o and my bgk is gone not hiddin out with the fire eel anymore idk where he is guess i need to get a new one:(. thanks for the help guys

Those are P. endlicheri endlicheri. Anyway, nice tank setup, and 235 gal is big enough to keep most bichir species. As mentioned by Loubard, be careful with the sucker.
