Hi guy and gals I had the rare opportunity to sit down today and observe my fish for about an hour straight and noticed that some of my males have their anal fin's on different sides. Like when my Big male Buettikoferi's head was facing towards the left if he were to cup his anal fin it would be cupped where I could see the cup, I also have a male palmas palmas that has an anal fin that if his head is pointed to the right if he were to cup his anal fin it will be cupped where I could see it. I was wondering if this is a species specific thing or can it vary between different individuals?

I believe it varies. I've seen my congicus cup it to both sides.
