Polypterys Bichir Bichir - Strange eyes

Hi,

Bought myself 2 x Polypterus Bichir Bichir (= Nile Bicher from Logone riversystem). Both of them are in perfect health, but one of them has strange eyes. As you can see it is the left animal on this pic:

Any idea what this is and what may caused it?

It's blind from birth, a defect to be exact.
 
look, I would take it back to the shop, perhaps exchange it with the normal one, otherwise its fine if you happy with it, ... happened to me once cause I did not noticed it before, but I returned the bichir asap to the lfs, its a possible defect I would say.
Bichirs uses their nosetrails to catch prey.

Do you have some full body shots please? I see there's some more bichir in the background! How's your new tank coming along btw?

I would suggest that you should change the defective P. B B for a non-defective one, since you've paid for one and you definitely deserve it.

Thanks dude, I am in middle of building the new tank. It should be finished and filled with monsters in about 2 weeks. I'll post pics soon. If you like it I'll give you this one, maybe you have something nice to exchange? It is app. 45 cm.
