When I was at the LFS they had an endli in with some cichlids... which well... I was considering using the new tank for cichlids or for polys. If I could combine them that'd be hot. What polys can go well with the high pH cichlids need?? Anne?

i have albino bichir with africans before ( mbunas to be specific) and now i curently have an ornate and an albino both about 6 inches with frontosas and theyre going very well, they all mind their own business and never touch others. i didnt really think about the ph andd temp. much but i realize they both really like the sand substrates and a lot of rocks and caves
Alright how bout this compatibility question. I know bichirs of very different sizes shouldn't be put together but what qualifies as very different sizes? I'm absolutely head over heels for this endli at the LFS... but its pretty big.
agree with anne, ive tried to put cichlids before in my 1st bichir tank (african and SA cichs) with no success, some of the cichlids would nip on my sens and del and chase them away. Ive had an african cich eaten by one of my sens and recently ba my endli. So I'm a bichir kinda guy so the bad cichlid always ends up for adoption or food for the endli. The only fish that belongs to the cichlid family that I would recommend would be a a pair of O's in a large enough tank. IME
