Polys with arowanas

how many of you keep polypterus with an even size/smaller arowana? Well 2 days ago my Senegal took a huge bite out of a small silver i was holding for a buyer sales off but i also saw another picture of a silver being turned into what looked like a Jardini in another thread.

what is your experience? I'll post up pictures in a sec of the silver.

i took him out of the tank an dput him on the center brace for close up looks. weird he just swims like nothing ever happened

the fish was suppose to be Jeoxx but i guess i have to wait to see if it will regrow weird/deformed or normal.

I have an 8" ornate and a 6" senegal with an 8" black arowana.
Never had any problems with aggression between them
They are growing like crazy!!

That bite doesn't look too bad, but I can't believe a senegal would do that. He's crazy.

our 4" aro was in with an 8" ornate and an 11" endlicheri and no probs, although he is now moved to a growout tank for a couple of months because the shortnose gar seemed to like chasing him

mine do fine together. dont usually even look at each other, and all are very active

aww man, that tail probably wont grow back. i bought my silver with a missing tail and it never grew back its an interesting looking silver though without the tail. i just get jealous seeing other silvers with a tail.

My ornate did not attack my aro. But bit off one eye of my Prochilodus. Can you imagine how nasty a Prochilodus with one eye is...
