do u guys think itd be crazy to keep cardinal tetras with polys? reason im askin is cuz im setin up a 50g(3'-18"-18") heavily planted tank and want tetras but im not getin rid of my albino senegal and was wonderin if a school of 12 cardinals would stand a chance (id expect to lose a few every now and then) in a tank with my sen and maybe even a del and palmas? all opinions are appreciated

The only Tetras that might stand a chance are Congo Tetras cuz they get ot a decent size. But the Cardinals would probably be gone in a few days.

I've had success with keep an Albino Senegal with Congo Tetras, but after awhile, the Senegal went after the smallest Congo. They weren't big yet, but it was surprising. If anything, Congos and Albino Senegals would be ok together.

yeah if you're that new to bichirs, it sounds like you need to read up more. I"m glad you asked the question though, you saved yourself a lot of cash in cards haha

But I agree with everyone else, you would be lucky to have half of your cardinals left after one night.

I'm going to keep congo tetras with my sens, delhezi, and polli, but I need to grow them out.

nah im not new to bichirs, i know itsa silly question but i was inspired by the tank in the photo lounge with the neons and pirahna, thought itd be worth a shot but o well screw the tetras ill just stik with polys:D

If you buy the senegal a muzzle and never take it off you should be good.
:WTF: lol jk have fun getting it on him.
