Right now I'm at standstill on the best way to insulate the stock tub. It'll be indoors as it'll be a 110g that will house the big raphaels and the jaguar catfish collection. I'm trying to figure a best way to keep it insulated.

My first road block is which material I should be using:

Wanted to see feedbacks on Polyurethane vs. Icynene Foam which one is best on insulation? The pond will be moved place to place and I know at one point sometime it'll be in an cold basement at a relatives' when I move. So I want to go 100% on insulation and save myself some headaches in the long run.

When comparing different insulation products, it's important to understand the R-value of each material. R-value is a measure of thermal resistance, with higher R-values linked to more effective types of insulation. According to Energy Savers polyurethane foam has an R-value between 7 and 8 per inch. Icynene.com states that the R-value of Icynene ranges from 3.6 to 4. These values indicate that polyurethane is roughly twice as effective as Icynene when it comes to thermal insulation.

just google the first 4 words of ur subject. From reading id vote Poly

Thanks! I'll go with poly and get materials for it.
