Pond aquarium bio cycle question?

OK so ive been having a hard time cycling my glass aquarium since I rescued some fish and only had 2 days to prep for the fish.

My question is would it be a bad idea or good idea to take filter media from my pond filter to seed bio in my sump/aquarium?

I havnt checked the water params in the pond in some time but i will.

Im located in ny so the pond is still very cold.

If you want to keep the sources separate take a look at the lastest in Bacteria via EA's new product line. It has worked well in cycling our virgin QT systems. Also keep in mind that warmer water temps help speed the process along.
